jWin JXCD335RED Compact Personal CD Player Review
I hate when I open a clamshell package and I get a whiff of that funky Chinese plastic smell - I think it's due to the chemicals they use to make their plastics, and I only encounter this smell with items from China. It nauseates me.br /br /I would have returned this but the smell dissipated from the CD player itself within 24 hours. The headphones that came with it are another story, they are still sitting out in my garage and I'm hoping they lose that smell eventually. In the meantime, I'm glad I kept my old headphones from my 10 year old Sony Walkman that bit the dust last month.br /br /This CD player does not have an anti-skip feature, but I'm ok with that. I use this when I go to bed at night to listen to relaxation CD's, I keep the CD player on the nightstand next to my bed and all is well. I tried this in my car and just letting it lay on the passenger seat worked well also. It's only when I hold this in my hand and shake it fairly hard that it skips. So this may work ok if you are a walker, but probably not if you intend to jog with it. (But that's what MP3 players are for).br /br /The controls are all easy to figure out without reading the instruction manual (the manual has that funny smell too).br /br /The sound quality is great but since I'm using my Sony headphones, that may have something to do with it. I haven't tried the J-win headphones.br /br /I'm happy with this, it was cheap, it has good battery life, and it plays my homemade CD-R's. I hope it lasts longer than the 90 day warranty that comes with it. And maybe one of these days the smell will leave the headphones, but if not, it's not a big deal to me.br /

It skips easily - paula - Ft Lauderdale, FL USA
I bought this to use when I am on a treadmill. It works, but it skips just from the mild vibration of the treadmill. And I certainly can't carry it while I'm walking. Also, it doesn't come with a power cord, so batteries are the only option. It's OK, but I wouldn't buy it again.
