The Aiwa XP-V516C is a portable CD player which will play audio CDs, plus CD-R/RW discs. With the electronic anti-shock system you can choose between three settings: ten second memory, forty second memory, or cancel. Depending on where you set the anti-shock system, the two AA batteries which operate the player will last between twenty and twenty-seven hours. With the included AC adaptor recharging batteries is an easy chore. Simply insert the rechargeable batteries, (not included) plug in the AC adapter and select charge. You can also power the player with the AC adapter. With the twenty-four track memory, it is possible to individualize a CD play list, perfect for a motivating run or walk. Other features include: hold, resume, bass boost, repeat and random play. pbWhat's in the Box/bbr Aiwa XPV516C CD player, AC adapter, stereo headphones and a user's manual. The XP-V516C delivers incredible sound performance with up to 27 hours of playback. AIWA's advanced E.A.S.S. (Electronic Anti-Shock System) Plus is superior to anti-shock systems that rely primarily on buffer memory. With a significantly extended horizontal motion tolerance range and extremely precise laser pickup focus servo control, AIWA attacks the problem at the source. The laser pickup is far less likely to mistrack as a result of severe shock. And should mistracking occur, recovery time is much shorter. Combined with the digital buffer memory, this design significantly improves the ability of AIWA players to deliver uninterrupted music in typical portable use. AIWA's DSL circuitry is a sophisticated electronic equalizer automatically that compensates for bass roll-off, thereby extending the speaker's low-frequency response. The amount of compensation is varied according to signal level to prevent distortion and provide deep, natural-sounding bass at all listening levels. This player is also CD-R/RW compatible.
